Pearson Building Trent 307 Trent Drive Durham NC

Duke University School of Nursing is primarily located in the Christine Siegler Pearson Building at 307 Trent Drive. The 110,000 square foot facility features classrooms, simulation laboratories, faculty and staff offices, and meeting rooms, as well as hospitality and auditorium spaces equipped with videoconferencing and lecture-recording technologies. The Pearson Building is dedicated to optimizing the student experience at the school.


Interprofessional Education Building 311 Trent Drive Durham NC

In the summer of 2019, the Duke Health Center for Interprofessional Education (IPEC) opened at 311 Trent Drive. This five-story facility spans 105,000 square feet and is connected to the existing Pearson Building. The IPEC is shared with the Duke University School of Medicine's Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Programs, as well as Watts College of Nursing. The School of Nursing utilizes spaces for research, the PhD program, post-doctoral studies, student services, global health initiatives, standardized patient rooms, a Health Innovation Lab, and additional classrooms, breakout rooms, and offices.

Sustainability

The Christine Siegler Pearson Building is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver facility. Designated by the United States Green Building Council, it is the fourth building at Duke to earn this certification. The building's green elements fall under the following LEED categories: Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality, and Innovation and Design.

DUSON's Facilities provide a wide range of services, from renting our space to other Duke entities to assisting School of Nursing faculty, staff, and students with maintenance issues, building access, copier issues, ergonomic assessments, an EMS scheduling system, and more.
