Post Master's Certificate in Nursing

Joylyn Headings, Post-Master's Certificate Student

"Duke's post-masters certificate program is a good choice for someone who wants a program that is flexible and manageable with life and work, but still gives the opportunity to interact with faculty members in specialized areas."--Joylyn Headings, Post-Master's Certificate Student

The Post-Master's Certificate program at the Duke University School of Nursing provides opportunities for students who already have a master's degree to gain specialized knowledge within any of the majors offered by the School of Nursing.

The program is open to registered nurses who possess a master's degree from an NLNAC or CCNE accredited nursing school, or who possess a master's degree in another discipline acceptable to the specialty faculty.

The number of credits required to complete the certificate program varies by major; the student must successfully complete the required courses in the chosen nursing major.

Non-nurse applicants will be considered for the Clinical Research Management (CRM) program only and must possess a master's/graduate degree from a discipline acceptable to the specialty.
