PDA Supported Hardware

There are hundreds of PDAs on today's market. Unfortunately, CITDL can't possibly support all of them. Instead, we have researched and tested, and the supported models are listed below. Those of you who already own a PDA can contact us at citdl@mc.duke.edu with the model, program of study, and as much information about your PDA as possible and we will attempt to assist you in determining its capacity to run the required course software. While we will attempt to help support other models than those listed below, our knowledge and abilities will be limited and may not meet all of your needs.

Please note: be sure to check your program’s specific handheld software needs before purchasing your new handheld. Some software may not be compatible across both Palm and Pocket PC platforms.
 

Supported PDAs:

Palm TX
With an improved High resolution 320X481 pixel screen, the TX is Palm’s latest integrated wireless handheld. Equipped with internal 802.11 WiFi and Bluetooth, it has a powerful 312 MHz Intel XScale processor with 128MB of nonvolatile memory. Because the memory is nonvolatile, it will always preserve is data even when the battery completely runs out.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Dell Axim X51V (Not for ABSN)
Similar to the X50 series, the X51V has both built-in WiFi and Bluetooth and is one of the first to utilize the new Windows Mobile 5.0 software It has a fast processor and up to 195 Mb of non-volatile memory.
