Boseman, Leiter and Rhodes Graduate from DUPD Citizens' Police Academy

Tammy Boseman, Tina Leiter and Nanika Rhodes recently graduated from the Duke University Citizens' Police Academy. During their time in the program, they completed classroom and active practical exercises including participating in training for: criminal investigations, community service outreach, education and intervention, traffic accident control, biological-chemical emergency response, crisis intervention and mental health outreach. 

The Duke University Police Department Citizen's Police Academy is a six-week course with a two hour classes held weekly.  Each classroom topic will give insight on the operations of the Duke University Police Department from both uniform patrol and civilian employees. The purpose of the academy is to make this an enjoyable, as well as a learning, experience for all who participate, promoting the community policing concept at Duke University.
