The Center for Nursing Discovery (CND) recently celebrated the grand opening of their new simulated bathroom with a ribbon cutting. The CND's new simulated bathroom will provide the students with an environment to help them feel confident and provide dignity and empathy to patients when performing bathroom related skills in future settings. 

The addition of the simulated bathroom is a real bonus to the CND lab and completes the hospital bedroom simulation setting. Prior to the addition of the simulated bathroom, students were learning skills but were practicing them without a sense of realism. A large percentage of falls that occur in a hospital happen in the bathroom. In this new simulated bathroom setting, students will be able to practice how to maneuver patients in a real hospital setting.
