Dixon Receives Sakai Engineer Certification

Be’Ledda Dixon, educational technology specialist with the DUSON course design team, recently received her Sakai Engineer Certification. Certification requires scoring 80 percent or higher on a three-part, four-hour, performance-based exam that assesses all knowledge and skills required to build and support Sakai courses at DUSON. Test participants are asked to demonstrate skill by completing an extensive series of tasks, from initial course configuration to troubleshooting and support. The tasks include organizing instructional materials, importing content, testing links, creating and managing tests and setting up custom forums permissions. Dixon will receive a framed certificate, signed by Dean Broome attesting to her status as a certified Sakai Engineer.
