DUSON Welcomes Hunter to Office of Admissions & Student Services

DUSON welcomes Elizabeth Hunter to the School of Nursing family! Hunter joined the Office of Admissions and Student Services (OASS) as an admissions and recruitment coordinator. In her role she will be working with the nurse anesthesia and DNP programs.

Prior to joining DUSON, Hunter worked as the assistant director of admissions at North Carolina State University where she focused on multiple recruitment initiatives. An example of those initiatives include the recruitment of first-generation college students, targeted recruitment of women,, and admissions liason for NC State's LGBTQ office in representing NC State as an inclusive and open campus at multiple events across the United States. 

She earned her bachelor of arts from Meredith College and a master of arts from NC State. Hunter brings more than 12 years of college recruitment experience to the position. She has served on multiple committees within the state of North Carolina, all of which focused on “best practices” of recruitment for all of North Carolina’s colleges and universities. For her leadership within college admissions, she was elected to serve as secretary in 2008-2010, treasurer in 2012, and budget and audit chair in 2013 within the Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (CACRAO) organization. CACRAO represents all North and South Carolina colleges and universities, and is responsible for nearly all major undergraduate recruitment events across the Carolinas. Additionally, she has presented on myriad of topics at multiple state and national conferences detailing enrollment enhancements and innovations available to the field of enrollment management, admissions, and recruitment. 

Hunter will be located in the OASS suite.
