Faculty Receive Appointment, Promotion

Julee Waldrop, assistant dean, DNP Program, and Michael Relf, associate dean for global and community health affairs, have received recent appointments and promotions.

Waldrop’s appointment as clinical professor (Track II) was effective November 1. Waldrop joined DUSON this summer as the assistant dean of the DNP Program, bringing more than 20 years of experience in educational leadership, particularly in DNP programs, and in clinical practice to the role. She is committed to ensuring an enriching educational experience for our DNP students. 

Relf’s promotion from associate professor with tenure to professor with tenure was effective December 1. Relf is a nationally recognized scholar in the area of stigma related to HIV, its effect on outcomes for individuals living with HIV, and stigma focused interventions. Within DUSON, he continues to balance his commitments as a senior leader, mentor to faculty members, advisor/mentor to countless ABSN, doctoral and post-doctoral students, and as a strong proponent for diversity, equity and inclusion.
