"I would like to nominate Nancy Hassell for a Commitment to Excellence award. Nancy consistently makes my life and job easier! Recently, our process for adding ABSN students to research studies changed. When I inquired, Nancy immediately sent all of the forms needed and a link to the policy. Nancy facilitated getting all of the appropriate signatures and permissions (this was no small job; I was adding seven students and with CITI & DHRT training certificates plus a permission letter, volunteer letters, and the key personnel log, there were 23 separate documents to upload to the IRB - just to add the students). When I misinterpreted the policy and thought I was not going to be able to have students do the work I needed, I sent Nancy an email with the subject line, "Major Problem". She responded (from her cell phone at 5:46 on a Friday evening) to reassure me there was not a problem and the students would be able to do the work as planned. This is just one example of many! Nancy is kind, professional, and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure my needs are met. She answers, and sometimes re-answers my many questions - always with a smile."
