Join CNR for the 2016 Nursing Research Conference

The Center for Nursing Research invites you to join them for the 2016 Nursing Research Conference on Thursday, November 3, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Pearson 1014. The theme is "Leading and Accelerating Nursing Science and its Translation."

Keynote speaker is Ann Cashion, PhD, RN, FAAN, scientific director for the National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Nursing Research.

Attendees can choose two of six workshops to attend:

  1. R01 Mock Review: The mock review simulates an NIH study section review and provides a venue for peers to act as reviewers for the proposal.
  2. J.A.N.E./Pivot: Learn about J.A.N.E., your new best friend for getting published and Pivot a database of funding information from public and private, domestic and international sources.
  3. DUHS Panel: Panel of Duke University Health System (DUHS) nurse researchers discuss how to integrate new scientific innovations into the clinical setting.
  4. P30 Center of Excellence in Cognitive/Affective Symptom Science: Accomplishments and a look towards the future.
  5. SMART Design: Learn about an innovative method that provides a formal way to design adaptive treatment regime for personalized medicine in nursing research.
  6. DUSON Panel: Panel of DUSON researchers discuss how to turn clinical needs into scientific discovery.

The day will also include poster presentations.
