MSN and DNP Students Arsenault, Burton, Brown, and Ferguson Receive ONS & ACS Scholarships

MSN students in the oncology specialty Melissa Arsenault, Lacie Burton and Casey Brown, and DNP student Kristin Ferguson were recently awarded scholarships for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Arsenault and Burton received the Oncology Nursing Society Foundation Masters Scholarship. This scholarship is given to registered nurses who are interested in and committed to onoclogy nursing to continue their education by pursuing a master's degree in nursing. The award is for $5,000.

Ferguson received the Oncology Nursing Society Foundation Clinical Doctoral Scholarship. This scholarship is provided to registered nurses who are interested in and committed to oncology nursing to continue their education by pursuing a research doctoral degree (PhD or DNSc) or clinical doctoral degree (DNP). The award is for either $5,000 or $7,500.

Brown and Ferguson received the American Cancer Society Graduate Scholarship in Cancer Nursing Practice. This award supports graduate students pursuing a master's degree in cancer nursing or doctorate of nursing practice. Awards may be for two years, with stipend of $10,000 per year.
