PhD Student Curlee Receives NIH NRSA Award

Vanessa Curlee and her mentor, Beth Merwin have received a National Institute of Health National Research Service Award for Curlee's proposal entitled "Gender, Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Mental Health, Substance Use Disorders, and Behavioral Health Treatment Utilization in US Parolees and Probationers within 12 Months Post-release." 

The award qualifies Merwin for $2,000 in additional support for her discretionary account under the Regular Rank Faculty Additional Support/Primary Mentor for Pre-doctoral and Post-doctoral Award/One-Time Transfer program.

They've been awarded a total of $79,412 with $71,012 over two years in tuition or stipend support for Curlee.
