PhD Student Hirschey Presents at Conference & Publishes Article

PhD student Rachel Hirschey presented twice at the American Psychosocial Oncology Society annual conference in San Diego, California earlier this month. She presented on "Feasibility of an Intervention Focused on Increasing Enjoyment of Physical Activity in order to Develop Physical Activity Habits" and "Development and Initial Testing of a Physical Activity Outcome Expectation Scale for Cancer Survivors." Both projects relate to Hirschey's dissertation work that is focused on creating health behavior change interventions for chronically ill populations.

In addition, Hirschey published an article entitled "Exploration of Exercise Outcome Expectations among Breast Cancer Survivors" in the February issue of Cancer Nursing. Co-authors include Sharron Docherty, Wei Pan and Isaac Lipkus.
