PhD Students Park and Gondwe Present at Duke GradX

PhD students Hyeyoung "Kate" Park and Kaboni Gondwe were selected to present at the Fifth Annual Duke GradX talks hosted by the Society of Duke Fellows and Duke Graduate School. Students share their research in a fast-paced and engaging format inspired by TED and TEDx talks. Rather than showcasing finished projects, students are asked to share a defining question that they are driven to investigage or explore futher.

Park presented on "Do our cultural backgrounds affect how we talk about death?" and Gondwe presented on "Are mothers of preterm infants in Malawi at a higher risk of psychological distress than mothers of full-term infants?"

Presenters were challenged to communicate their ideas in a clear, visually appealing way that is understandable to a broad audience in the short time frame of five to six minutes.
