Research Announcements: IRB Board Representation & Good News!

From the Center for Nursing Research...

  • IRB Board Representation for School of Nursing
    • Karin Reuter-Rice will be completing her service on the IRB Board #7 representing the SON. She has served since August 2014. Cheryl Rodgers will be increasing her time and responsibility with IRB Board #7 by serving on additional board meetings.

Faculty that represent the School of Nursing on the IRB have two main responsibilities - they attend monthly on their respective IRB board and review applications that are submitted to the IRB. They also hold the responsibility of reviewing protocols that are submitted to the Clinical Research Unit for scientific feasibility which occurs at the time of application to the eIRB system.

Thank you to all the board members for their service to the School of Nursing. If any research faculty are interested in the opportunity to serve on an IRB board representating the SON please contact Phyllis Kennel.

Representation for Board #3: Chris Muckler, Kathy Peirera, and Sophia Smith – starting January 2017

Representation for Board #7: Kathryn Evans-Kreider and Cheryl Rodgers
