Strategic Planning Update: Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

DUSON is continuing to advance the support of our people and environment as part of the strategic plan implementation. An important element of the People and Environment focus has been increasing transparency of decision making with staff and faculty.

One of the implementation teams, led by Angie Keith and Deb Brandon, recently made a recommendation to have minutes from all Executive Committee meetings shared on a larger scale. Members of the executive committee agreed and meeting minutes will be shared with staff and faculty. The minutes will be housed on the ‘S’ drive in the “Executive Committee” folder. The first set of minutes will be available to view now.

Other efforts to increase transparency include the creation of the DUSON annual report that shares information about priorities of our programs and offices, which can also be found on the S drive in the “Strategic Plan” folder.

In addition, David Bowersox began hosting the faculty and staff workshops about the School’s budgets entitled “The Finances and Economy of DUSON.”  The workshop increases the understanding of the interrelationship of the School’s finances, fiscal priorities, the money management strategies utilized to build resources over the long-term, and more.

The workshop is comprised of two parts consisting of two 90-minute sessions and is eligible for three CE credits. The third offering of workshops will be held Tuesday, January 24, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., and Thursday, January 26, from 2 to 3 p.m. and March 1, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., and March 23, from 2 to 3 p.m. Click here to sign up.
