The keynote speaker was Loretta Sweet Jemmott, vice president of health and health equity at Drexel University. Jemmott’s presentation was entitled “Academic-Community Partnerships to Promote Health Equity: Listening to Their Voices and Responding."

Her research portfolio includes HIV/AIDS prevention strategies adopted by the CDC as best practices. She has also enjoyed a great success engaging the community in her research and prevention programs. Jemmott will be joining us again in the next couple of weeks for two supplemental meetings that will focus on incorporating health equity into curriculum and population specific community engagement strategies.

The Community Health Lecture activities are sponsored by D-CHIPP and OGACHI. Watch the lecture recording.
