Zychowicz Participates in Panel Discussion

Michael Zychowicz, professor and Orthopedics Specialty lead faculty, was invited by the National Association of Orthopedic Nurses (NAON) to participate on a national expert panel discussion on Tuesday, Oct. 26.

The purpose of the panel discussion was to reflect upon the past, present and future of orthopedic nursing through an exploration of orthopedic nursing practice, education and research. Zychowicz, a board-certified orthopedic nurse practitioner, spoke about how orthopedic nursing practice and educational needs will evolve over the next decade with continued advancements in technology, innovation, and increasing complexity in the health care landscape. The panel discussion was part of a week-long NAON celebration of orthopedic nursing with planned activities to commemorate Orthopedic Nurses Week (Oct. 25-Oct. 30) as well as International Orthopedic Nurses Day (Saturday, Oct. 30).
