Part-time didactic instructors are paid by the School to teach in the classroom or online. CND Healthcare Simulation Educator

The Duke University School of Nursing invites applications for 1.0 FTE Clinical Associate non-regular rank position as Healthcare Simulation Educator in the Center for Nursing Discovery (CND). The Healthcare Simulation Educator contributes to the achievement of the school’s mission through the planning, development, and implementation of activities in lab and simulation.

Qualified candidates ideally should possess an earned master’s degree and teaching experience will be considered. Candidates must hold an unencumbered license in a health-related field (RN, NP, PA, etc.) and have a minimum of two years of experience in healthcare. Candidate must meet the North Carolina Board of Nursing administrative requirement for faculty regarding preparation in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation as cited in the Administrative Code of the Board of Nursing within one year of hire.

ABSN Academic Success Program Manager

The Duke University School of Nursing invites applications for 0.8 Clinical Associate non-regular position as Manager for the ABSN Academic Success Program. The Academic Success Program Manager contributes to the achievement of the school’s mission through the development and leadership of activities that enhance the academic success of students enrolled in the pre-licensure program. The Academic Success Program will implement and evaluate a comprehensive academic success program that includes identification of students who would benefit from additional support, providing programmatic level and individual level academic support, and working with the ABSN Program Assistant Director, ABSN Program Staff, and ABSN Affiliates to ensure the academic success of students. Additional responsibilities include teaching and facilitating learning in class, lab, and clinical settings as assigned.

Qualified candidates ideally should possess an earned doctoral degree, but candidates with MSN and teaching experience will be considered. Candidates must hold an unencumbered RN license and have a minimum of two years of experience as a clinical nurse. A minimum of two years of experience teaching at the undergraduate level is desired. Candidate must meet the North Carolina Board of Nursing administrative requirement for faculty regarding preparation in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation as cited in the Administrative Code of the Board of Nursing within one year of hire.

ABSN NRR Faculty Position

The Duke University School of Nursing invites applications for part time non-regular rank (NRR) faculty positions in the ABSN Program. NRR faculty members are responsible for participating in a dynamic faculty role that includes on-campus and online didactic instruction, on-campus lab and simulation instruction, and assisting with clinical site management and visits. Teaching opportunities include wellness & health promotion, pediatrics, health assessment & foundations, adult health, and pathophysiology.

Qualified candidates ideally should possess an earned doctoral degree, but candidates with MSN and teaching experience will be considered. Candidates must hold an unencumbered RN license and have a minimum of two years of experience as a clinical nurse. A minimum of two years of experience teaching at the undergraduate level is desired.
