Spring 2021 Admitted

Congratulations on your acceptance to the Duke ABSN Program!

If you applied for financial aid, we will email you a financial aid offer prior to the admissions deposit deadline. Your financial aid offer will include a need-based scholarship only if you:

  • Submitted all requirements by the June 5 deadline and

  • Had significant financial need.

Late applications are not reviewed for need-based scholarship consideration. All scholarships are awarded to newly admitted students for the four semesters of the program.

If you wish to borrow federal student loans, it is not too late to submit the 2020-21 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Follow the FAFSA instructions below:

  • School code: 002920

  • Degree/Certificate: 2nd Bachelor's Degree

  • Year in School: 5th year Undergraduate

You will receive a financial aid offer by email within 3-4 weeks after completing your FAFSA.

ABSN Merit Scholarship decisions are emailed through the Admissions portal to students who submitted an essay by the deadline. We award one merit scholarship per ABSN cohort prior to the admissions deposit deadline.

If you accept the offer to attend, we will email a "Next Steps" Financial Aid Guide with detailed information about your financial aid offer. We will also email you in September to invite you to meet with your counselor. In the phone counseling session, we will go over your financial aid offer and how to apply for a private loan, if needed.

Embracing Diversity For An Engaged Community

Embracing diversity is a crucial component for engaging with students, faculty, and the world. We think of it as diversity with a global perspective. Creating a learning climate where creativity, robust yet respectful debate, and a genuine respect for others can flourish. Fostering international research collaborations, developing global health initiatives, and coordinating access to health care for under-served populations. Educating next-generation nurses for leadership and service in the global community.

Diversity with a global perspective assures a warm welcome—not mere tolerance—for differences in national origin, race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status.

We provide a safe haven where diversity can spawn intellectual engagement and collaborative partnerships.
