Merit Scholarship

Prospective students applying to enter the Nurse Anesthesia program at Duke University School of Nursing for the first time in the fall 2019 semester who meet eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. The School will award one scholarship to a new fall 2019 Nurse Anesthesia DNP student. The merit scholarship will cover approximately $68,000 of required tuition for the Nurse Anesthesia program. Students must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States to be eligible for consideration.

The purpose of this scholarship program is to provide tuition assistance to outstanding individuals who demonstrate academic achievement, creativity and innovation, exceptional communication skills, and the potential for significant leadership in their professional endeavors. In a narrative (500 words or less, 12 point font, double-spaced), please describe how you meet these criteria and have had a significant and beneficial effect on others. Email your scholarship essay to the DUSON Financial Aid Office. Please include the degree program to which you are applying and the semester you will begin the program (i.e. Nurse Anesthesia– Fall 2019).
