GRN Educational Intensives
Go Gero Intensive: How and Why Care of Older Adults is Different – November 18, 2013 and December 9, 2013
- Two full days of building geriatric clinical competence
- Open to ALL DUHS RN staff who wish to increase their knowledge of care of older adults
- Open to current DUHS GRNs to reinforce geriatric nursing education
- Must attend both days to ensure full appreciation and understanding of the complex needs of older adults and impact on nursing care
GRN Leadership Intensive: Leading the way to Enhance Care of Older Adults – January date to be determined
- Full day devoted to developing the nurse as a clinical leader
- Sessions will address clinical leadership skills, quality improvement processes, communication and change
- Must have completed the 2 day Go Gero Intensive
- Will be designated a GRN upon completion of both Intensives
