Barbara Hotelling and Helen Gordon published a book entitled How to Become Mother-Friendly: Policies and Procedures for Hospitals, Birth Centers, and Home Birth Services. Gordon says the foundational work was done by her and seven ABSN students from the December graduating cohort of 2007. The book went to print on Friday, Nov. 1, and is the only publication of its kind on policies and procedures for mother friendly care systems.
