DUSON Wellness

True health goes beyond not being sick, and wellness extends far beyond eating "right" and exercising.

Being well encompasses many elements and facets of our lives...

  • Feeling energized

  • Quality sleep & feeling refreshed

  • Purpose and fulfillment at work

  • Meaningful connections with loved ones

  • Community engagement

  • Functioning effectively & motivated to feel your best

DUSON Wellness is a new, innovative initiative designed with the goal of providing convenient, relevant, and accessible health and wellness resources on campus at the School of Nursing. This initiative seeks to address the various elements of wellness to approach health from a comprehensive and holistic standpoint.

* Fitness Disclaimer: Please consult with your physician or other health care professional before starting any fitness program to determine if it is right for your needs. This is particularly true if you (or your family) have a history of high blood pressure or heart disease, have ever experienced chest pain when exercising or have experienced chest pain in the past month when not engaged in physical activity, or experience bone or joint problems that could be made worse by a change in physical activity. Do not start any fitness program if your physician or health care provider advises against it. If you experience faintness, dizziness, pain or shortness of breath at any time with exercising you should stop immediately.

Workout anywhere with an on-demand fitness provider that has nearly 300 classes that range from one to 50 minutes. Classes are divided into 22 channels including circuit and strength training, office breaks, yoga, Pilates and more. Visit Duke Fitness Club page to learn more and sign up.
