    The School of Nursing is partnering with Duke Health to host the 2020 Thank-a-thon: Because of You!

    On Wednesday, February 12, we will gather in the Great Hall at Trent Semans Center to make thousands of phone calls to our donors and extend our thanks for their previous support. We are looking for a few great friends to staff the phone bank to help us complete as many “thank you” calls as possible in one day. A single call goes a long way toward making our generous donors feel appreciated.

    A new lecture series for D-CHIPP student affiliates, faculty and staff, called D-CHIPP CHATs (Community Health Academic Talks), was created to provide student affiliates more exposure to community health topics and research conducted by D-CHIPP faculty affiliates.

    Marla Gregg, DUSON’s director of alumni and development programs, was recently able to make a tragic family anniversary into one with some better memories. On December 19, 2008, Marla’s father - seemingly in great health - suffered an ischemic stroke that ultimately left him without the use of his left side.

    Emily Funk, DNP, CRNA, joins us on April 1, 2020. She will have teaching responsibilities within our Nurse Anesthesia Program and will be a member of the Clinical Health Systems & Analytics Division.
