Izy Obi and Selnatta Vereen attended the Intercultural Skills Development Program sponsored by the International House at Duke. Participants, who apply and are selected for this professional development opportunity, are trained to be culturally sensitive when providing services to, interacting with, and guiding faculty, fellows, and students from various cultures. Training activities include simulations, intercultural theory and research, intercultural assessments, and discussions with international students, spouses, and scholars.
