The Engagement Awards were created to forge opportunities for patients and other stakeholder communities to become more involved in patient-centered research. Each award provides support for up to $250,000 with a project period of no more than two years. In 2014, PCORI will award up to $15 million to support projects in three categories:
- Knowledge Awards
- Training and Development Awards
- Dissemination Awards
Together, the awards will help establish a diverse community of passionate individuals with opportunities to participate in patient-centered research.
During the webinar, members of PCORI's engagement team will discuss the value of including patients and stakeholders in research, how the engagement awards will support the institute's growing research portfolio, which organizations are eligible, and how to apply. The webinar also will provide information about PCORI's review process and the timeline for the Engagement Award decisions.
