Margory "Margie" Molloy, DNP, RN, CNE, CHSE

Margie Molloy

Margory "Margie" Molloy, DNP, RN, CNE, CHSE, is an Assistant Professor with the Duke University School of Nursing. She works with faculty to incorporate simulation standards of practice in the design, implementation, and evaluation of simulation-based experiences.

Dr. Molloy strives to make students comfortable in this practice setting, with knowledge, skills and attitudes being transferable to the practice setting. She is actively involved in developing interprofessional collaborative experiences that focus on patient safety, effective teamwork, and communication. She was part of a team that was the recipient of the 2015 BAYADA Award for Technological Innovation in Health Professional Education for use of Google Glass to enhance the realism of simulation.

Dr. Molloy's work with innovative use of telepresence robots for distance-based education has garnered local and national media coverage. Most recently, she led her team in the simulation lab to a successful five-year accreditation from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) in the Teaching/Education Standard. She holds a BSN from the State University of New York at Downstate Medical Center, an MSN in nursing education from Wagner College and a DNP from Duquesne University.
