You must complete a FAFSA for each academic year you wish to borrow federal loans. Complete a new FAFSA by April 1 to receive a Financial Aid Notification for your next academic year (Fall 2019, Spring 2020, and Summer 2020).

Once you complete the 2019-2020 FAFSA, check the Financial Aid tab in the DukeHub:

• Read the Financial Aid Notification and Financial Aid Guide emailed to you and available in the DukeHub.

• Follow the instructions in the Financial Aid Guide to customize your federal loans.

• Accept your loans prior to August 1 Bursar bill due date. (Note: verify that you have updated the academic year at the top of the financial aid tab in the DukeHub to reflect the 2019-2020 academic year).
