Research Interests

Dr. Hays' research is in the area of psychosocial and chronic disease epidemiology with primary interests in (1) living arrangements and residential moves in late life, (2) terminal illness, bereavement and widowhood, (3) depression, (4) religion and health, (5) subjective ratings of health, (6) stress and coping, and (7) racial differences in risk and outcome factors.
