Dr Jessica Szydlowski earned her BS in Neuroscience and Philosophy from the University of Miami, her BSN in Nursing from Mount Saint Mary College, and her MSN in Nurse Anesthesia and DNP from Columbia University. Since 2020, she has made significant contributions to DUSON in roles clinical education coordinator of the nurse anesthesia program and most recently the Assistant Director for the Nurse Anesthesia program. Dr. Szydlowski has brought her passion and expertise in simulation education by completing the National League of Nursing Faculty Leadership Development Program for Simulation Educators fellowship. Additionally, she is completing the only Acute Surgical Pain Management Fellowship at Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia, where she will bring her expertise in regional anesthesia and ultrasound to the DUSON community.
As an advocate for the nurse anesthesia profession, she has served in various state and national professional leadership roles, working with policymakers and legislators to promote the practice of nurse anesthesia.
