ABSN Alums Provide Care in US Navy

Bobby Bradford and Ian RyanBobby Bradford, ABSN '17; and Ian Ryan, ABSN '17; are nurses in the United States Navy who are stationed together after graduating from Duke University School of Nursing.

Both Ryan and Bradford are getting ready to board the USNS Comfort, a naval hospital ship, to South America where they will provide humanitarian relief and assist health care systems. 

Bradford says they are excited to answer their Nation's call and provide assistance to thousands of individuals in many different nations. 

Ryan was recently voted Nurse of the Quarter and is working on a general surgery medical surgical floor and will soon be attending nursing school to specialize in peri operative nursing​. He was also recently promoted from ENS to LTJG during Nurses Week at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA.

Bradford is working in the intensive care unit and has begun knocking out his prerequisites for admission into nursing school to study nurse anesthesia.
