ABSN Students Volunteer at Bull City Fresh Start

Nearly two dozen ABSN students recently volunteered their time at Durham’s Bull City Fresh Start. The two-day event included the Point in Time Count, which included teams of volunteers who go out into the community to count the number of homeless individuals living outside in the elements.

The second half of the event, called Connect, provides much-needed services such as photo identification, information about benefit eligibility, dental screenings, haircuts, employment and training opportunities, and connection to housing for homeless individuals all in a single location.
