MSN students in the Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner – Acute Care Program recently completed their first Gross Anatomy/Special Procedures lab. For this lab, from the Department of Evolutionary Anthropology, Daniel Oliver Schmitt taught anatomy of the neck and throat, while Angel Zeininger discussed the anatomy of the brain. Andrew Hardigan, of Duke Neurosurgery, showed how to place an external ventricular drain. The program is one of the only AGACNP programs to offer a gross anatomy/special procedures elective.
