Crystal Tillman, MSN’97, DNP’13, and Pamela B. Edwards, associate consulting professor and assistant vice president for education, practice and research with Duke University Health System, have been selected for leadership spots with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. 

Tillman has been named the new CEO and will succeed Julie George upon George's retirement in January. Tillman is currently the organization's director of the education and practice department and will begin as CEO elect in October. 

Edwards been elected president and board chair of the North Carolina Board of Nursing during a recent public meeting. She is currently vice chair of the board and will assume her new positions in 2021.
