Alumni Adams-Wingate Receives Patient-Centered Medical Home Designation

MSN alumni and preceptor Deborah Adams-Wingate was recently awarded the Patient-Centered Medical Home designation by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. The recognition is the most widely adopted model for transforming primary care practices into medical homes.

The designation is given after a rigorous transition and application process.

MSN student Shalane Moore said: "Ms. Adams-Wingate is my preceptor this semester and I can tell you that she provides the most comprehensive, holistic care of any provider that I have seen as a patient, worked with as a nurse or learned from as a student. She is also the most wonderful and thorough clinical teacher that I have had thus far. Perhaps, most importantly, she is a Duke Alumnus!"

Congratulations Deborah!
