Arthur and Flanagan Receive Commitment to Excellence Award
Congratulations to Crystal Arthur and Jill Flanagan on being recognized for their Commitment to Excellence. "We would like to nominate Crystal Arthur for the Commitment to Excellence Award based her long standing commitment to excellence in faculty packets presented to the APT Committee. Crystal provides excellent guidance to faculty preparing packets for the APT- she reads all submissions, notices errors and discrepancies and brings them to the attention of the faculty members so they can be corrected before the packet is sent for external review. She works closely with the APT chairperson to identify and contact external reviewers for the APT packets. She works closely with the APT chair and reviewers to keep all abreast of the status of each packet. When the committee needed additional information on APT processes she queried peer institutions about their processes and presented the comparative data to the committee. She accurately tracks faculty on their promotion tracks and proactively works with the faculty and the APT chair and committee members in preparation for packet reviews. She is a consummate professional who has the highest standards of excellence and maintains complete confidentiality in her work. She is respected, appreciated and liked by all who work with her. Ms Arthur is overdue for recognition for her excellence. Thank you for considering her for this recognition."
"Jill is exceptionally well-organized, highly effective interpersonally and exceptionally professional. Because of her hard work the study team is able maintain a high level of organization. She is incredibly diplomatic, listens carefully and helps to direct the team to decisions. She helps to lead the team in “closing the loop” in a manner that is very polished, and modelling those behaviors for other team members. For example, if we have to travel to a research site, team members can expect to have, organized all in one place, the materials we’ll need (consent forms, data collection instruments), as well as written travel instructions. Jill is an exceptional employee and deserves recognition for her efforts."
