Donna Biederman, associate professor and D-CHIPP director, is now chair of the National Health Care for the Homeless Council (NHCHC) Respite Care Providers Network (RCPN) Steering Committee and a council board member. Biederman was confirmed as a member of the RCPN Steering Committee in 2015 and has been vice chair since 2019. Biederman is also vice chair of the National Health Care for the Homeless research committee. The National Health Care for the Homeless Council works to improve health care for homeless persons, end homelessness, and give voice to people who have the lived experience of homelessness. The Council is the preeminent authority on medical respite and transitional care for homeless persons.
