Biederman Graduates from Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Interdisciplinary Research Leaders Program

Donna Biederman Graduates from Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Interdisciplinary Research Leaders Program Donna Biederman, associate professor, recently graduated from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Interdisciplinary Research Leaders Program. The program partners with two researchers with a community member to work on social determinants health policy. 

Biederman and her colleagues, Mina Silberg of Duke University School of Medicine community health; and Emily Carmody of North Carolina Coalition to End Homelessness; were in the inaugural cohort of the prgoram. Their mixed-methods research study focused on best practices in tenancy support services for people residing in permanent supportive housing. The group recently held a stakeholder symposium that included roughly 20 people to share study findings with dissemination efforts at state and national levels ongoing.

Biederman plans to continue engagement with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Interdisciplinary Research Leaders Program staff to develop an alumni network and program.
