Donna Biederman recently presented in a webinar conducted by the National Health Care for the Homeless Council entitled “Somewhere to Heal: An Introduction to Medical Respite Care” which provided an overview of medical respite programing and operations. Biederman joined administrators and clinicians from four other medical respite programs from across the country to discuss different types of medical respite programs, clinical and behavioral health staffing, establishing community partnerships, developing outcome measures and resources for starting a program.

The National Health Care for the Homeless Council is the preeminent authority on Homeless Medical Respite in the US. Biederman has been a member of the Council’s Respite Care Provider’s Network Steering Committee for the past three years.
