Blood-Siegfried Receives Community Service Award for Work with Project Liberia Ebola

Jane Blood-Siegfried recently received the Community Service Award from the Checago Bright-Sawo Foundation for her work with Project Liberia Ebola. Blood-Siegfried worked with Liberian Duke nurse Amanda Mathies to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to Liberia.

With the help of Irene Felsman, the Nursing Students Without Boarders and the Duke Remedy warehouse, they supplied more than $2.5 million of medical supplies and PPEs. This allowed Project Liberia-Ebola to send three 40ft containers to Liberia. The group served more than 15 countries and 30 plus health facilities to impact thousands of lives during the Ebola breakout.
