Celebrate International PI Day (+.02) at DUSON
The School of Nursing Information Technology department is sponsoring the DUSON International PI Day (+.02) celebration.
International PI Day celebrates anything related to PI and PIE! Unfortunately, March 14 (3.14) falls on Saturday this year, so we are going to celebrate on Monday, March 16 at 12 p.m. in 3280 Interprofessional Building.
There are two ways to participate:
- Make Pie: Put your best pie recipe up against other pie-makers at DUSON. Our celebrity judges include Dean Marion E. Broome, Ernie Rushing, Charnetta Cooper and Will Lassiter. Judging begins at 12:30 p.m.
- Eat Pie: Show up between 12 and 12:30 p.m. to try out the pies!
The winner will be announced via email at 1:59 p.m. (3.14159) and will receive an engraved glass pie dish to prove that they have made the best pie at DUSON for 2020. We also have a prize for the most creative use of the symbol π in a pie. If you are interested in making a pie, contact a member of the SON -IT team for details.
Join in the fun. SON-IT will have pies available that are not in the competition (but still worthy of tasting), so there should be plenty of pie to go around.
