The Center for Nursing Research used design thinking and community-engaged framework to learn that research participants like to know how their part and input in a research project has made a difference in the community and research all around. The Center also found that simply sharing journal articles or other publications of your research findings isn't always effective as it can be laden with jargon that is incomprehensible to a non-researcher. To help you better communicate your research to your project's participants, the Center created "Beyond the Shelf."
