Consulting Associate Tedder Receives ANA Innovation Award

Consulting Associate Jan Tedder of HUG Your Baby was recently awarded the American Nurses Association Innovation Award 2020 for her contributions to HUG Your Baby and the quality and range of research published and in progress. HUG Your Baby is an inclusive and evidence-based educational program that helps new families, and the professionals who serve them, better understand their baby's body language to prevent and solve problems around crying, sleeping, feeding and attachment.

The ANA Innovation Award highlights, celebrates, and support exemplary, nurse-led innovations that improve patient outcomes. The individual nurse award includes a prize of $25,000. These funds support research and development, testing, implementation and scaling of HUG Your Baby.

Tedder has been a source for DUSON by teaching and sharing her expertise and HUG resources with ABSN, MSN, and DNP students for several years. Two of our DNP students completed their projects using her evidence-based program.
