CTSA KL2 Program Event

On Nov. 15 at 5 p.m., A Duke CTSA KL2 program event will take place for those applying for the upcoming funding period or for those interested in applying in the future. The event will take place at the Duke Medicine Pavilion (DMP 2W96). The The Duke CTSA KL2 is a mentored research career development program for junior faculty and fellows transitioning to faculty positions who are conducting clinical and translational research. Scholars are awared 75 percent protected effort for three years, $20,000/ year for research expenses and $2,500 a year for travel to professional meetings. Please note that funding is contingent upon CTSA Award. The next round of applications are due on Dec. 15, with a July 2018 start date.

Kimberly S. Johnson, Co-Director of the CTSA KL2 Program will be speaking. In this session, she will discuss:

  • eligibility requirements for the KL2 program
  • goals, structure and major components of the KL2 program
  • application and renewal process, and
  • structured programs to assist you with developing a competitive application
