D-CHIPP was recently invited to serve on a panel discussing nursing schools’ response to dual public health crises (the COVID-19 pandemic and structural racism) in 2020. The session was part of pre-conference activities at the Association of Community Health Nurse Educators' national conference. D-CHIPP joined 11 other nursing schools from across the country and described how DUSON responded to the pandemic and structural racism through efforts in education, research, clinical practice and community programs. D-CHIPP affiliates involved in the presentation were Donna Biederman, D-CHIPP director and associate professor, Irene Felsman, assistant professor, and Schenita Randolph, associate professor, and Heather Mountz, program coordinator, D-CHIPP Community Health.
