DCRI Launches COVID Response Registry for Health Care Workers

The Duke Clinical Research Institute has launched the Healthcare Worker Exposure Response & Outcomes (HERO) Registry, a large, national clinical registry, and is inviting health care workers to join. Those who can join include nurses, therapists, physicians, emergency responders, food service workers, environmental service workers, interpreters, and transporters. The member must be a U.S. worker and at least 18.

The registry is a platform for these workers to share their experiences working on the COVID-19 front lines through such methods as surveys and study participation. The information gathered will provide needed evidence to address which areas are not being sufficiently met in order to help protect the health and safety of the workers and their loved ones. For more information or to join, visit heroesresearch.org.

Mike Krzyzewski, head coach of the men's basketball team, has published a video in support of HERO. To watch, visit the Vimeo website.
