De Gagne Presents at Sultan Qaboos University

Faculty from the School of Nursing recently attended and presented at the 1st International Conference on Teaching and Learning in Higher Education themed "Reimagine teaching to maximize student learning" hosted by Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.

Jennie De Gagne, professor, delivered a presentation entitled "The Impact of Video-Based Discussion Forums on Students' Engagement and Online Social Presence." Her co-authors for the abstract include Hyeyoung Park, PhD'19; and Sang Suk Kim, 2017-2018 Visiting Scholar.

De Gagne, in collaboration with Mr. Fathi Al-Abri from the Oman Institute of Health Professions, delivered a presentation entitled, "Exploring global patterns of health and illness through active and experiential learning." Michael Relf, associate dean for Global and Community Health Affairs; was the lead author of the presentation; and Eleanor Stevenson, professor, was a co-author.
