Dean Broome Participates in Panel for Duke Alumni Women's Weekend
Dean Broome recently sat on a panel entitled "Leadership: Fear, Failure and Other "F" Words" as part of Duke Alumni Women's Weekend 2018 with several strong, dynamic women who lead the direction of Duke as deans from schools across Duke University. They convened on one stage to share their stories of trial and triumph as leaders.
The session was part of the larger Duke Alumni Women's Weekend 2018 which sold out with just over 600 participants. Duke Alumni Women's Weekend creates the perfect environment for powerful initiatives, progressive change and fresh insight. As Duke alumnae, faculty members, administrative leaders and current students from all walks of life convene to converse, share experiences, impart wisdom and receive empowerment, the connections and opportunities strengthen individuals and communities around the globe.
Duke Women’s Weekend brings alumnae together for a series of lectures, discussions, and networking opportunities for women of all generations during a 2 ½ day program held in Durham. Held every other year, Women’s Weekend creates the perfect environment to infuse women’s lives with thought-provoking conversation, a sense of empowerment and support, and fresh insights. With an appreciation of the different paths Duke alumnae pursue, Women’s Weekend is a unique occasion to share knowledge and experiences with each other and to make connections strengthening individuals and communities around the globe.
