Marion E. Broome, dean and Ruby Wilson Professor of Nursing, Duke University School of Nursing; vice chancellor for Nursing Affairs, Duke University; associate vice president for Academic Affairs for Nursing, Duke University Health System; was recently awarded an honorary degree, Doctor of Science in Nursing Leadership, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

She is the first nursing leader awardee for the University and accepted her honorary degree at the 2019 University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Black Commencement Ceremony.
